Write my page's title and description

Meta Tag Generator

Reads the title and description your page has now, lets you rewrite them against a live search preview, and gives you the tags or a prompt for your AI coding tool.

Runs in your browser. The file or text you give it is not uploaded. Free, no account.

Finding the problem is the first half.

RankBrain writes these tags for every page of your site, not one at a time.

RankBrain works on websites built in code, through the AI tool you already use (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT).

How it works

Nobody wants to type a title and description into an empty form. Enter your page and this tool reads the ones it has now, shows them as a desktop and a mobile search result, and measures their length in pixels as well as characters. Rewrite them in place, then copy the head block or a prompt that tells your AI coding tool what to change.

  1. 1

Enter your page and we read its current title, description, canonical address and language. Every field stays editable, and you can also start from an empty form. Reading the page is the only step that uses our server.

  2. 2

The preview shows the result as a desktop and a mobile search result would display it.

  3. 3

Length meters measure estimated pixels as well as characters, because results are cut by width.

  4. 4

The output is the complete head block: title, description, canonical, robots, viewport and charset. Copy the tags, or copy the prompt and let your AI coding tool put them in.

What it does not do

  • Search engines can rewrite a title or description they judge unhelpful. Writing one that matches the page is the best way to keep yours.

  • The meta keywords tag is left out on purpose: Google has ignored it since 2009.

When a source is busy or a site does not answer, this tool says so. It never fills the gap with a guess.

Questions

Why does Google show a different title than the one I wrote?

Search engines can rewrite a title or description they judge unhelpful, so the result may not match your tag. Writing a title and description that match the page gives search engines less reason to replace them. The preview shows your tag, not a promise of what gets printed.

Why is there no meta keywords tag in the output?

The tool leaves out the meta keywords tag on purpose. Google has ignored it since 2009, so it does nothing for your search result and only adds bytes to the head. The block you get covers title, description, canonical, robots, viewport and charset.

Do I have to type everything in myself?

No. Enter the address of your page and the tool reads the title, description, canonical address and language it has now, then fills the form with them. Change what you want and watch the desktop and mobile preview. When you are done, copy the tags, or copy the prompt and paste it into your AI coding tool so it makes the change in your code.
